About Me

My name is Matthew Want. I grew up in a small farming town called Melbourne, just outside of London, Ontario. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family, whether that's watching sports, playing basketball, or travelling to new places we haven't experienced yet. My educational background includes a BA (Bachelor of Arts) degree in Criminology from the University of Western Ontario as I have always wanted to help people in some capacity from as long as I can remember. I have always been passionate about working and getting to know people from all walks of life and this has been instilled by my love of travelling as I believe it makes you a more compassionate and empathetic person all around.

My Experience

I have been in the insurance industry for a couple years now. I am very passionate in getting to know my clients on a personal level and helping them feel comfortable as insurance can be complex and confusing sometimes. My goal is to help my clients understand and feel confident in the plan they put in place to protect what matters most to them, their families and themselves. During my time in school, I saw first hand the devesation that an illness like Cancer caused one of my friends families as they did not have the proper protection in place. What motivates me is knowing that I will be able to help educate clients and give them the peace of mind that in the event of an illness, disability, or premature death, they won't suffer financial turmoil and go through what my friend's family went through. Every individual is different, and we tailor our plans to your specific individual needs, concerns and goals so no recommendation is the same.
