About Me

My name is Norman Sanchez, and my journey in Canada began through the student pathway, where I completed two postgraduate programs—Project Management and Insurance Management. Both disciplines now play an integral role in how I engage with clients, assess their personal and financial risks, and design plans that protect their long-term goals. Before joining RBC Insurance, I spent over 20 years in the financial industry, witnessing firsthand some of the most defining economic events of our era: the dot-com bubble crash in 2000 and the subprime mortgage meltdown in 2008. Those experiences strengthened my belief that financial stability must be paired with guaranteed insurance solutions to safeguard families against uncertainty. My career also took me into the banking sector as a Derivatives Dealer, where I traded stocks, bonds, and mutual funds—an experience that deepened my understanding of market risks and the importance of balanced protection. Outside my professional life, I am passionate about sports, especially contact sports. They have shaped my discipline, resilience, and philosophy in life: “Calculated risk is the foundation of every strong plan—understanding it allows us to safeguard the future.”
